Each blanket is made with two full layers of organic cotton fleece and finished by hand in the USA. The narrow silk trim gives little fingers something smooth to hold on to while keeping the overall look simple and timeless.

Great quality but small so very careful with measuring!

I searched and searched for an organic baby blanket option that had a silk edge and was so excited to support this company and receive this blanket. After measuring, I ordered the ‘new’ thinking this would be the right size to snuggle a newborn (‘crib’ size to me implied something a little bigger than what I needed or a size a small child already old enough to sleep with blankets would use over them). I should have paid more attention to the 2 inch silk edge measurement (which is my oversight) realizing the actual blanket itself would be quite small after you subtract two inches from each side. The new is not close to being able to swaddle or fully wrap a baby and although this is my mistake for not envisioning what the fleece dimensions would be minus the silk, the blanket was over an inch and a half smaller both width and length than advertised on the website. I know they’re all handmade and ultimately the extra length and width wouldn’t change the size that significantly but it was a bit of a bummer. The blanket itself is absolutely lovely quality and I’m still happy to find this option, just encourage others to double measure and ‘order up’ for basically any purpose. Perhaps they can consider renaming ‘crib’ to ‘swaddle’ for those of us with pregnancy brain wanting to figure out which size can fully snuggle our little one And a reminder that measurements may vary a little and include the silk so to order larger than you need :).
